Standards

Pre-School/Kindergarten

  • Parent's agreement to the Parent Commitment
  • K3, K4 and K5 children must be 3, 4, or 5 years old respectively, on or before August 1
    All children must be potty-trained
  • K5 Only:
    • Satisfactory completion of BCS kindergarten screening program
    • Submission of a Pastor's recommendation form
    • A personal family interview with the elementary principal
       

Grades K-6

  • Completion of the application packet upon entering grades K-6.
  • Students must pass the screening program demonstrating grade level appropriate developmental behavior and academic readiness.
  • Parent’s agreement to the Parent Commitment.
  • Satisfactory Pastor’s Recommendation.
  • For students entering grades 1-6, a grade average of “C” for the preceding year’s schooling.
  • For students entering grades 3-6, evaluation of student performance on most recent achievement testing (grades 3-6).
  • An acceptable personal interview with the Elementary Principal upon receipt of student’s school records.


Grades 7-8

  • A grade average of “C” for the preceding year’s schooling.
  • Satisfactory discipline record for the preceding year’s schooling.
  • Evaluation of student performance on most recent achievement testing.
  • Parent’s agreement to the Parent Commitment.
  • Satisfactory Pastor’s Recommendation.
  • Completion of the student portion of the application including the written testimony of faith in Christ.
  • A personal meeting/interview with the Upper School Principal after receipt of student school records.
     

Grades 9-12

  • A grade average of “C” for the preceding year’s schooling.
  • Satisfactory discipline record for the preceding year’s schooling. Generally, the school does not enroll students who have been dismissed from other schools or who have had serious, unsatisfactory record at a former school.
  • Parent’s Agreement to the Parent Commitment.
  • Satisfactory Pastor’s Recommendation.
  • Evaluation of the student’s character as demonstrated by completion of two character evaluation forms completed by those other than family members (preferably previous year’s teachers).
  • Completion of the student portion of the application, including the written testimony of faith in Christ.
  • A personal meeting/interview with the Upper School Principal upon receipt of student’s school records.
