We hope this process will allow families to see our beautiful campus, talk to faculty and administration, and begin the enrollment process.

1.  Initial Visit

All prospective families can schedule a tour and meeting with our Admissions Office. We ask that parents or guardians attend and feel free to bring the whole family. At this meeting, our Admissions Director will discuss the spiritual, educational and philosophical goals and mission of the school and will give you a tour of our campus. The orientation and tour typically lasts one hour.

2.  The Application

Our receipt of your completed application and application fee starts your Admissions file. A copy of previous school official records and transcripts will be obtained before a student is admitted. The application includes a section where families agree to the Bethesda Enrollment Covenant.

3.  The Testing

Once the completed application is returned to the school, the student will be scheduled for a placement test. This test helps us identify any student needs and strengths and helps with course placement, so we can best serve all students. Tests are generally 45 minutes in length for grades 1 through 12. The kindergarten entrance exam takes 20 minutes.

4.  The Final Meeting

The last component of the admissions process is a final meeting with the administrator and principal. Admission to the school will be confirmed at this time. Upper school students should come with their parents to this meeting. The items you will discuss are:

  • Placement test results
  • Upper school students will have opportunity to select courses
  • Other questions or concerns specific to your family
  • Tuition payment plan and signed contract

5.  The Timeline

The entire admissions process can take up to 3 weeks to complete and families are encouraged to apply early in the recruiting season. You can expect the process to take a minimum of one week. During the school year, applications are considered on a space available basis.

The applicant must be five years old on or before August 1st of the school year. However, each student will be evaluated on a case by case basis on age readiness.
