Director of Admissions (DA)

Bethesda Christian School is seeking qualified candidates to recruit students for its Pre-school through Grade 12 Christian school in Brownsburg, Indiana. The DA is responsible for promoting the school to key target groups, engaging prospective students and their families, assessing the needs of those students as it relates to admission and participation in the school and maintaining strong contact with interested prospects to insure enrollment of all qualified for admission. 

Key Skills and Characteristics

  • A passion for Christian education, a love for BCS and delight in the gospel of Jesus Christ

  • Upbeat, positive and outgoing approach to prospective students and their families

  • Strong sales skills that include the ability to assess student needs, present the school’s offerings and maintain close contact with all potential students and their families

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with others through skillful electronic messaging and in one-on-one meetings, tours, Open Houses and Trade/Festival booth promotion opportunities

  • Work alongside our Business Manager to help potential students with vouchers, scholarships and financial aid

  • Work alongside our Deacon of BCS to provide spreadsheets and progress of potential students

Schedule and Commitment

The Director of Admissions will operate on a 150 to 160 day schedule. Hours will be as needed until winter break to meet the needs of prospective transfer students. The bulk of work will be from January to the end of the school year in May along with some hours during summer break to meet the needs of prospective students for the upcoming school year.

Direct Report and Key Team Members

The DA will report directly to the Head of Schools and will work closely with the school’s Principals, Guidance Counselor and Business Manager as well as with the Deacon of BCS.

Compensation and Benefits

The DA position is part-time and is salaried. The DA is also eligible for a Qualified Tuition Discount for his or her own children who attend the school.
